  • In the autumn of 2005, Abbeville Press published Sacred Landscape and Pilgrimage in Tibet: In Search of the Lost Kingdom of Bon, price $65.  Based on an expedition funded by the Kalpa Group, this book contains photographs by Thomas L. Kelly, and text by the Bon monk, Gesha Gelek Jinpa, and Charles Ramble with V. Carroll Dunham, describing Gelek’s pilgrimage to the sacred mountain of Kailash, a central element in the Bon religion of Tibet, and his hopes of discovering the long-vanished kingdom of Zhang Zhung. The book also has contributions from Charles Ramble, lecturer in Tibetan and Himalayan Studies at the University of Oxford. Accompanying the book is a DVD of a documentary film covering the background to the pilgimage and the journey itself. [The Bon Project :: Documentaries]

  • Kalpa’s activities also featured in the catalogue of the exhibition The Mind of Leonardo, which opened in Florence on March 28th, 2006 and continues till 7th January, 2007. On display are the results of researches by Dr. Maurizio Seracini, funded by Kalpa, into Leonardo’s Adoration of the Magi and his lost mural,  the  Battle of Anghiari.  The catalogue, La mente di Leonardo, has 385 pages with over 400 colour illustrations, and is edited by Paolo Galluzzi and published in Italian by Giunti Editore, Florence, Italy, €38.
