The French Senate recognises the Bon religion as an authentic and independent religion, validating the efforts of the Kalpa Group and the Shenten Dargyé Ling to bring this pre-Buddhist Tibetan religion to a wider public. Currently, renovation work is under way at the former school at Blou in the Loire Valley that Kalpa has made available to the Bon religion as a retreat and conference centre [The Bon Project].
